Sometimes, I am an idiot.

For months I've been reading (off and on) Red Shirt Knitting, all the while assuming there was some kind of sporting/eligibility link - in other words, this kind of red-shirt.

Now, today, I notice her new tagline: "Yarn in peril."

Oh, so it's THIS kind of red shirt.

D'oh.

In my defense - I'm a college prof, so I deal a lot more with the first kind of "red shirt" talk than the second. Even though I have a couple fairly rabid Star Trek fans in my department.
