Correction: (for what it's worth)
I have NOT read "Keep the Aspidistra Flying." I have, however, read After Many a Summer, which IS a Huxley novel. (The main detail I remembered was a dying man who wanted immortality, and the really really old people who had come to resemble apes - I think Huxley was toying with the idea that humans are neotenous, which means that we retain "childlike" characteristics [relative to the apes] into adulthood).
No, I'm not going to go back and see if the book is on the list.
