Three good things:
1. A health-worry that a close relative had (I didn't post about it here) turned out to be a minor and treatable sinus infection instead of a scary neurological or circulatory problem, even though one of the symptoms initially suggested a TIA.
2. I'm still plugging away on the research paper. There's a fair amount to be done but at least I know what I need to do. It's the difference between being abandoned in a forest at night, and being on a trail in a forest at night but having a flashlight with extra batteries.
3. It's not raining here. (At least right now). If the not-raining persists, I think I'm going to take the afternoon and go stock up on some things I need from Sherman. And go out to lunch somewhere.
I picked away on different things last night. Added a bit more to the crocheted blanket, for one thing. Also I did a fair amount of quilting on the quilt.
I find I'm a lot more content to work on "delayed gratification" projects when other areas of my life (in this case, the research papers) are going okay. It's when I'm hitting brick walls at work that I really want something that's done fast.
