Actually, I do have more to say today.
I hurt. I hurt all over. I am not sure why and that worries me a little. It's been extremely humid here, I've been having trouble breathing, but the muscle aches are something new.
Especially in my neck and shoulders. I feel like I've been beaten about the head and shoulders with a sock stuffed with tennis balls.
I also have a pulled gluteal muscle (but I know how that happened - stretching too far during yoga the other night) and it's making me mildly miserable.
It's funny - I can cope with big things and big pains really well (got through wisdom tooth removal without even taking the painkilling drugs the oral surgeon prescribed), but small nagging pains just wear me out. And no, ibuprofin doesn't really help all that much.
Grading is making me cranky. Why do I even bother to write out and make copies of instructions/suggestions when no one seems to bother to read them or follow them? And, on the flip side, I am SO NOT LOOKING FORWARD to the "why did you take off points here" arguments that I know will be coming tomorrow. I took off points because you didn't do something you were supposed to; I have explained why on your paper. Please don't get all angry at me because of something you neglected to do. (I think that's the thing that's hardest for me about teaching: when students come to me and are angry at ME when they did poorly because they didn't study/didn't hand in the assignments on time/didn't follow directions.)
Gas is almost $3 a gallon here. I was planning on going to McKinney for a fun day this weekend but now I think kind of not. (Also, it's Cinco de Mayo, which may mean more drunk drivers...'round here, you don't have to be Mexican to celebrate, and usually the Anglos celebrate by getting waaaaay plastered. And there may be more crowds in McKinney this weekend and I'm just not so much for dealing with crowds right now. Especially the sort of entitled-behavior, rich-ladies-on-cell-phones-paying-little-attention-to-their-children-or-anyone-else crowds you tend to get when McKinney is busy).

Well, gas has been hovering around the $3.50 mark in Los Angeles county for a long time. Puts a cramp in the traveling plans, it does.
i can so understand the minor ache thing. headaches make me tired. which really stinks, because i usually have 4-5 headaches a week. migraines, however, are exhausting. even if i can manage to make the pain go away, i'm shot for the day.
gass hit $2.99 yesterday, here. ugh
