Man.
Is anyone else getting absolutely HAMMERED with spam today? (I mean in e-mail - I've pretty much managed to avoid comment spam here). I'm getting messages fast and thick, especially on my campus address, which irritates me. I don't like having to go in every 20 minutes and wipe out spam lest my storage-space fill up.
Spammers, bug off! I'm not ever going to buy anything from you. Especially bug off from spamming my WORK address!

Did you know that Japan has its own version of poison ivy? (a Toxicodendron species). And it's considered invasive? I don't know, somehow that irritates me - that Japan even has to deal with it.

And another from the "I promise, this will be the last thing I ever say on this topic" files: political cartoon summing up pretty much how I feel about the whole Anna Nicole mess.
(And secondly: Am I alone in thinking that it's sad she's getting far more attention now that she's dead than what she had got previously? And I also feel like...I don't know, like if fame operated differently than it does, I guess, she'd be in rehab somewhere instead of a cooler in Florida...)
The practical application to most of our lives? Send people flowers on their birthdays, not only to their funerals. Pay attention to them now, not when they die, whether they die luridly or not.

Check with your Internet provider for spamblocker software. Then set it at the highest security level. That should minimize the amount you get.
