I keep logging on to the campus webpage and thinking, "call it! call it!"
The weather right now - and tomorrow morning - is worse than the weather was last fall (when we had a miniscule amount of snow), and it's supposed to be extremely cold tomorrow morning.
I have an 8:00 class. Ten people are enrolled in it. I do not know how many of them have commutes. I suspect I will have very few people, if classes are not cancelled. (And I am OK with that; I don't like people risking their lives and although we didn't get it too bad, to the west and north of us it is VERY bad. McAlester sounds like it's down for the count, even discounting journalistic hyperbole.
I am also reminding myself to drive an alternate route tomorrow morning; my typical route is a secondary road, on a steep hill, and with many trees. I would be willing to bet that that road may be blocked and I'd rather not discover that it is.
Frankly, at the start of the semester, a lost day is not so tragic as it is towards the end of the semester. And although I AM wishing I could get back to doing something other than flipping through different books and playing all my chanson cds, I don't want to do it having to drive at 7 am tomorrow morning - when there are going to be very slick places and the sun may not be up yet.
