well, d'oh.

While watching "Earl" tonight, I saw them scroll that my campus was closed. No day was attached, so I called the "information line" and found that yeah, we have no school tomorrow.

Gee, they decided THAT jolly quick. Not like today's decision that didn't come down until 1 pm when it was already sleeting.

I posted a note on the online class forum to tell students that the paper that was due tomorrow is now due Monday. (sigh. That means I lose having the weekend to grade them. I was planning on grading them this weekend. Oh well.). I also e-mailed the one person who sent me his paper via e-mail (in case the weather was too bad) to thank him for his effort.

I also posted that (a) I expected the durn things to be fully proofread (Saturday and Sunday this is supposed to all melt off so they have a chance to come to campus and work even if they don't have a computer at home) and (b) that I didn't want anyone calling me Monday evening to ask if their paper was graded yet.

I guess the one bit of good news is I don't have to set my alarm clock for tomorrow.
