The Hourglass sweater is done, knitwise.

It took an hour last night to stitch the live stitches of the neckband down to the sweater. I started tying in ends (there are a lot of ends; there were not only 14 balls of yarn in this thing but also there were one or two places where there were knots or "fuzzy plies" in the balls - not annoyingly much and not as bad as some yarns - but it makes for more weaving in of ends.

I also have to sew up the hem and one sleeve hem. I kind of of burned out on it last night.

I DID cast on for the next sweater though - I've got almost one inch of ribbing for the Central Park Hoodie done. Mmmmm, alpaca. It's just a super-nice feeling yarn. It almost reminds me a bit of some angora-blend yarns I've worked with, it's that soft. (Which I suppose means on the back end that it will pill. There is something almost Platonically sad about the fact that yarn can either be harsh to knit up or pilly once knitted into a garment. Even though I talk about "ecological trade-offs" all day long, I still wish that this was one instance where you could avoid them.)
