Well, I slept really well for the first time in about a week last night. (I also did yoga right before bed. Wonder if there's a link there).

I had a funny dream - a sweet, amusing dream - right before I woke up. I was over at school and someone had brought in their pet llama for a show-and-tell sort of thing in the mammalogy class. Only, instead of being like a real-life llama, it was small - about the size of a greyhound. And it was wearing a little coat like some of those smooth-coated dogs wear.

And it behaved more like a dog than the stereotypical camelid.

I was sitting on the floor, doing some kind of research work, and it walked over to me, sat down next to me, and LOOKED at me. And I couldn't resist - I reached out and hugged it. And it kind of leaned against me the way a friendly dog does. And throughout the dream, it kept walking back to me, and sitting down, and looking at me, wanting me to hug it.

I so seldom have random dreams like that - and dreams where I wake up happy about what I've dreamed. The local paper did have a story on llama ranching yesterday, which is probably where the llama came from. (And maybe the doglike was from Santa's Little Helper?)
