I have it spread out full-length on the bed to show it off; I would more likely use it as a lap quilt, or turned the long way, as a quilt to go over my feet.
I'm pretty happy with it - I like the color combination and I'm glad there was enough of the brown "bar" fabric to make the binding out of.
