So OneNet decided to stop being stupid. (I figured, since I could still see my OLD pictures here, the hosting site wasn't down, it was just my ISP not wanting to connect).

First of all, here are the purple self-striping socks. I like them better now that they're finished. I've concluded, somewhat to my disappointment, that 72 stitches on size 1 needles gives a better fabric than 64 stitches on size 2 needles. (I say "to my disappointment" because somehow, the 72 st socks take MUCH longer to make. But the fabric is more pleasing and I think it will wear better):

Second is the Fibonacci sweater. It came out kind of big on me as you will see. I made the largest size (47"). Maybe I need to get over the "gee you're really fat and you have a big chest" attitude that I have and try making smaller, more fitted, sweaters; the last couple I've finished have come out a little big, or at least, not as fitted on me as they look on the model.

I had a full ball of the green and a full ball of the blue when I was done, and almost a full ball of the red. Then again, I didn't lengthen the sweater and actually made the sleeves shorter (& with a more severe rate of decreasing) than the pattern recommended.

It's kind of like a coat on me but I've made my peace with that - I'm not the kind of person who totally rips out a sweater if it's not 100% perfect for me; if I did that, I'd probably have exactly one hand knit sweater.

And in the words of the immortal SpongeBob SquarePants:
"I like to call this song....Striped Sweater.
The best time to wear a striped sweater....is all the time...."
