Back in two weeks.

What I've packed for the road:
the Bookworm vest
the green socks
the endless Canal du Midi socks
the "Tap" socks that I started, stalled out on (2x2 rib on size 1's over 72 sts is boring, y'all.)
a ball of selfstriping "Safari" yarn and a ball of selfstriping "Regia Jubilee" yarn
2 1/2 yards of deep burgundy moleskin fabric that's been sitting around for two years without being made into a skirt
one of Deborah Crombie's mysteries
"The Great Divorce" (C.S. Lewis)
"Measuring America" (Arno Linklater)
"Mollie Peer"

I need to leave town around 2-ish, I think. I'm looking forward to a little break - and I think I'll actually get to see my brother and sister-in-law this break (last time, he had just had his bike accident and was too banged up to travel or even to go out to eat if I drove up there).

(Incidentally, Diann, no, I've not been to the "green" Wal-mart in McKinney. I think I heard about it on the news but kind of forgot about it. I'm not exactly sure where it is - I don't know ALL of McKinney, pretty much just the old downtown and the University corridor. It would be kinda cool if that one became the model for all the Wal-marts in the nation, though.)
