unfreakingbelievable.
a quick search for "Paris Flea Market" fabrics turned up Texas Stitch in Time, which has some on sale for $3.20 a yard. (Usually, quilt fabric runs anywhwere from $7-$9 a yard).
I hope that's right, and I hope they're a reliable merchant, because 10 yards of the big cabbage rose print is supposedly on its way to me now for the quilt back.
It's in Alpine, Texas, which I have no idea whether it's near me or not. And I have no idea if they have a retail store or not, or I'd consider making a visit some time.
(Update: DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT - she sells 1/2 yard cuts and prices based on that! So it's still a decent deal, but I had to go back and order another batch. So it's 6.40 a yard, rather than 8.00, which is still ok, but I'm ticked that she used a non-standard pricing/selling method and it wasn't obvious on the site I immediately clicked to).
