Here's the moebius scarf for my mom. You can see the "soft cables" (which are not cables at all, but are rather a pattern made with strategically placed decreases and yarn-overs). This is actually a pretty good shot considering the yarn is black. I'm glad this is done. I hope she will like it. I know she already has a quiviut smoke ring scarf from an Alaskan trip, but that one is brown and is a plainer knit.
And this is the first sock of the Regia Patch Antik. The color-name is Kuba (Cuba, I presume) and I forget the number... I remember names a lot better than I remember numbers. I've got the second of the pair on the needles right now.
I think, however, my knitting tonight will be on Hiawatha - Hiawatha, whom I threw over for those hussies, self-patterning socks, and whom I neglected in favor of my mom's moebius scarf.
I'm also seriously contemplating a purchase of some of the KnitPicks laceweight yarns. Their "Tidepool" color would be the perfect thing for the NeedleBeetle "Dragonfly" stole, and if I remember my yarn-amounts right, it would only require 4 skeins. And I'm tempted by the multicolored yarn - maybe get some of that autumn leaves color for the "Wool Peddler's Shawl" in "Folk Shawls"
I'm still tempted by the Morehouse Monet colors, though. Maybe after I get my next paycheck.
