*Extremely* cranky this morning. 13.5 hours of my life yesterday were donated to a cause for which I see no potential benefit. That included almost 6 hours of drive time - 3/4 of an ordinary day's worktime spent in the car.
I return to find that if I need anything copied for Monday (I do) I will have to arrange to take it to the copy shop myself and pick it up myself. I also have gotten a nagging e-mail about the need for "greater departmental participation" in a meeting for which I have nothing to present. AND I have a voice-mail message from a student, who in essence said "I skipped class on Wednesday because I forgot our homework was due." (Dearie, you DON'T only attend class when something is DUE) and begging me to "go over" the homework with her - making the comment that she would "stop by this afternoon" ("this afternoon" being yesterday - when I was in the meetings all day long). This afternoon, I've volunteered to help out at the local food bank, and Saturday is an all-day-long youth trip. The only saving grace of that is that I am NOT the only adult along.
NO, I have not knit one bit these past couple days, why do you ask?
I hate this week.
