A couple of quick pictures:
First, the Multidirectional diagonal scarf that I'm making out of Reynolds' "Odyssey":
It's actually bigger than that now, but I'm mid-segment, so it won't lie nicely flat for an updated photo.
Incidentally, it's sitting on the turtle quilt made of (probably) feedsack fabric. I found the blocks in an antiques store here, set them together, and the quilting group at my mother's church quilted it for me.
The second picture is of the beginnings of a Yellow Brick Road quilt. This is a pattern from Atkinson Designs that is very popular with quilters - I think mainly because you can use ANY fabrics in it and get a good result, and the boring part (cutting) is kept to a minimum and the interesting part (putting the fabrics together) is maximized. Here's mine, it's going to be mostly bright purples, yellows, and hot pinks:
