Okay, so the stereotypical let's-slam-crochet-as-goofy project-reference is the t.p. cover antebellum doll. And okay, some people may want that, either because they like the dolls, or they have a house done in a 1970s "New Americana" style where such an item would be really appropriate, or they like the kitsch value.

But what if you don't like dolls, but want or need a t.p. cover? Well, if you're into sushi, you can make a hip crocheted sushi t.p. cover.

That pattern amuses me. It would be perfect if you had a bathroom that was done up in black and red lacquer. Can you see doing a Japanese Teahouse theme in the bathroom? I can.
