First of all: I know this is a longshot but if you're the person who sent me an e-mail in the past day or two about my Fern Leaf Lace socks pattern, could you please resend it? Especially if it was a question.
My silly e-mail reader ate your e-mail before I had a chance to open it.
Second, I'm still plugging away on the Kilimanjaro Kat shawl. Up to row 52 of 60, all the rest of these (with the exception of an eyelet round) are pretty much knit plain.
It was a nice milestone last night when I took out all the markers except for the ones marking the corner stitches.
And I'm still thinking about starting new things. I got out my copy of "Weekend Knitting" and read through the Bergamo Cache-Coeur pattern - it seems pretty much to make sense, although I bet I'm going to be griping when it comes time to do the edging.
And I've got the yarn for the Song of Hiawatha shawl all wound off.
And I've located my printed copy of the SitCom Chic. And the Schachenmayer (sp?) Rainbow I bought to make it with. Still have to swatch it, though.
I've decided: I'm going to finish the Kat shawl and the Dolman Updated sweater (which I might this weekend; I've got more journal articles to read and it's an excellent knit and read project). Then I'm going to begin ALL THREE of the projects I've listed above. And maybe a pair of Broadripple socks, too, once I get the "Those 70s Socks" done (I'm working on the heel flap of the second sock now).
I'm going to go home to watch the Reagan funeral, if my research student doesn't show up (it was unclear if he wanted to do fieldwork today or not). I figure if I'm not out in the field, I want to watch the funeral - the man was president during most of my formative years.
