And, from the same knitter: peerie patterns for socks.

I just like the word "peerie." It makes me think of the Gilbert and Sullivan light opera, "The Peer and the Peri", which is better known as Iolanthe. (but I like the other name better).

I wonder if Peerie and Peri have similar roots? I do know that "Peerie" can mean "little" in whatever British Isles language it came from...
