Here is the quilt I have been working on:

Fabrics are the Folk Art Collection by RjR, these are reprints of some of the old faithfuls, some of the last quilt fabrics still printed during the Great Quilting Drought of the pre-Bicentennial years. I love these fabrics because some of them are reprints of fabrics my mother had and used - one or two of these are prints like I had summer sundresses of when I was a wee tyke.

(A girl can be a "tyke", right?)

And for this next picture, remember those t-shirts that were popular a few years ago, with the caption "Life is full of difficult choices" and then pictures of many different electric guitars, or motorcycles, or bottles of imported beer? Well, here's this knitter's version of that:

Life is full of difficult decisions

This is by way of saying that I am very nearly done with the Chinese vest. The collar is done, all I need to do is a row of picking up and a row of purl on each armhole, block it, put on the buttons and c'est fini.

So the picture represents my choice for the next sweater project.

These are the yarns I have in-stash right now to make into sweaters. From the upper left hand, 1824 Wool in "Raspberry" for the Zelda pullover (a lace-yoked pullover) from one of Mags Kandis' books. 1824 Cotton in "Musk" for a Sitcom Chic. Bright turquiose "Maya" for the Salt Peanuts cardigan. Aurucania nature wool in a wine color for a simple cardigan called "Grandfather's Cardigan" or some suchlike. Yellow Skyline Light for the Cafe Bastille Cables sweater from Interweave Knits. Blue Highland Wool for the Dolman sweater that was in the winter Interweave Knits. In the center: rose colored La Gran for the Broken Ribs and Bobbles sweater that was published in IK several years ago. With the exception of the La Gran (which came from the late, lamented eKnitting) and the two 1824 yarns, they are all Elann purchases.

I (heart) Elann.

At the moment, I'm most inclined to the Zelda pullover. The Salt Peanuts cardigan would be fun, but it would necessitate either buying another 10 1/2 needle or finishing the Prairie Stripes afghan first.

Of course, I might just try to finish the Kilimanjaro Kat shawl or the Prairie Stripes afghan before taking on another large project.
