da Friday Five, da Friday Five, da Friday Five (sorry, saw the advertisement for that video of old Chris Farley bits on SNL this morning)

1. What's the most daring thing you've ever done?

Um. I guess moving away from family and friends to a place I've never lived before, where I knew no one, and doing it all alone.

2. What one thing would you like to try that your mother/friend/significant other would never approve of?

I can't think of a thing. Seriously, I can't.

Traveling alone - not that my mother exactly disapproves, it's just she says she worries when I go off somewhere (like to Hot Springs) all by myself. I think that's about the most outrageous/daring thing I do these days.

3. On a scale of 1-10, what's your risk factor? (1=never take risks, 10=it's a lifestyle)

Pretty darn close to 1.

4. What's the best thing that's ever happened to you as a result of being bold/risky?

By offering what I thought was an insultingly low price, I was able to get my house for a really good deal. And I was able to buy it outright by cashing in some investments.

5. ... and what's the worst?

Angering or upsetting a friend by saying something outrageous.

Realistically, though, I am a very low-risk-taking person. I am far too good at imagining the potential consequences ahead of time.
