Sad: Captain Kangaroo (Bob Keeshan) has passed away.

I used to watch his show, back in the early 70s, when I was a kid. I loved that show. I will remember Mr. Moose and the bespectacled Bunny Rabbit, and also Mr. Green Jeans (who passed away a few years ago, I believe). But what I remember best is the downpour of ping-pong balls Mr. Moose would occasionally let loose on the Captain, who took it with good-natured resignation.

Farewell, Captain. I like to imagine Mr. Rogers welcoming you, and asking you if you want to change your jacket for a comfortable cardigan...Jim Henson and you swapping stories about puppetry...
