the tenure and promotion packets are done and in.

I finished up the last bits of stuff on them before my 11 o'clock. Like so many things, the last fiddly bits to finish up were the worst - my title did not want to stick on the pebbly-textured plastic binder, I had to print the title tabs twice to get them right, etc., etc.

Luckily, the urge to throw up subsided while I listened to student presentation during my 11 o'clock (how brilliant that was, in hindsight - scheduling the students to give their invasive species papers during the very week that I was to be under so much stress that talking becomes difficult).

Now, I just have to fight any temptations to crank out *one more thing* or rewrite my vita *one more time* and go racing down to the office with it.

Frankly, it's going to be strange not to have this hanging over me any more. I've not yet gotten over the shock enough to know whether it's a good-strange, a numinous, or a bad-strange feeling.
