Pulled out the dream-scarf again with a thought of finishing it this weekend (I'm very close - it's almost 6 feet long already).

Also, even though I don't NEED more yarn, when I went to the office-supply store I stopped at the Hobby Lobby and wound up buying some grey and some navy blue Woolease, thinking of reversible stitch-patterned scarves. Who for, I'm not sure - my dad has several scarves, including one I knit him in 2001, my brother never wears them, both my mom and sis-in-law have more scarves than they can wear, as do I. Perhaps the finished scarves will be given to charity.

here is Esther Smith Bozak's article on reversible stitch-patterned scarves, and here are Catherine Wingate's nice patterns for reversible scarves. I made the Ruggles' Reversible Scarf #1 for my dad and it turned out quite handsomely.

I'm getting in a scarf mood - it's starting to feel like fall. It's funny, but I do get into moods for knitting different things, and every fall, it's scarves. Much more than hats or mittens (although I could use another pair of mittens) or socks. But then, for me, socks know no season.
