Places I'd rather be than in my office, rewriting a paper:

Brandywine Falls (this is near to where I grew up; the picture makes me nostalgic)

touring the Ohio and Erie canal towpath (Again, nostalgia. This is a wonderful online tour, incidentally. And if you live near CVNP, go! it's a great place and I miss it.)

The Ann Arbor Farmer's Market. Again, a place where I used to live (went to college there). It was a great place to visit on a fall Saturday - great produce and great people-watching.

Hiawatha National Forest This is near where some of my relatives live.

Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore I've been there once, desperately want to go back.

New England, for leaf-peeping (may I say HOW VERY ENVIOUS I am of people whose careers permit them to take off a week or so to go and do this? I want to do this so badly someday).

I really, really need to get out and do something this fall. In a couple weeks, I get a two-day mid fall break - not enough time to go any of these places, sadly (and I don't have the bucks), but I need to find something worthwhile to do.
