Oh, and knitting...
I cast on for, and have perhaps 5" knit of, the back of the furry zip-front vest that was in the winter '00/'01 Vogue Knits. I am using the recommended Mondial Fur, but in sort of a mustardy tan rather than the white that is shown.
and my vest is going to be a Warm Vest to Wear Over a Turtleneck, not a Chi-Chi Vest to Be Worn Without Anything Under It, and With The Zipper Seductively Down a Bit. (which is how Vogue depicts it).
I knit some and read some on the next installment of "A Series of Unfortunate Events" (I'm up to #6 in the series, I think up through #10 of the series of 13 have been published). There is some minor drama going on in a couple fronts in my life (nothing I want to talk about here), and I find reading what are supposedly children's books to be very soothing in times like this.
Tonight, it's the trick-or-treaters. I don't totally have my "game face on" for this; I'd rather spend a quiet evening reading than jumping up every 5 minutes or so to toss candy in the outstretched bags (and parents: would it KILL you to teach your children to say thank you? no, I don't mean the parents who read my blog...I am sure THEY all do, all knitters being good people. I mean "parents" in the most general sense.)
back to grading.
