courtesy of "Magdalen News", a blog by a hospital chaplain, here is a list of questions supposedly asked a lot on "Inside the Actor's Studio" (I don't get Bravo in my cable package so I can't watch the show).

My responses are in italics.

What word do you love?

"Diaphanous", with "subtle" a close second

What word do you hate?

"boring." As in, "this is..."

What sound do you love?

mockingbirds, the sound of people who love each other talking or singing together, piano jazz, Dvorak, harp music, a perking coffeepot, the crunch of fall leaves...

What sound do you hate?

The dentist's drill, leaf blowers, angry voices, whining

What's your favorite curse word?

ass and its variants, if it's ok for me to say that on my blog. I like it because it's not as dirty or profane as some, and "ass" is just an inherently funny word.

What turns you on?

Intelligence and compassion

What turns you off?

someone who feels the need to be "cool" at all costs, someone who loves proving his "importance" by being rude to waiters and the like

What job other than your own would you like to have?

Artisan, or beekeeper, or herb farmer, or artisanal baker.

What job would you never like to have?

President of the United States (or of any other country for that matter). Too many chances to screw up really big, too many people hating you, too many stuffy state dinners, too much having to suck it up and smile at people you'd rather sock in the mouth

If there is a heaven, what would you like to hear God say when you get there?

Either "Welcome home!!!" or, as Laura said in her blog - "Ok, here's what it's all about..."
