Startitis.
must....not....start....another....project.
But, I have some Lion Fisherman's Wool. I bought it with a mind to crocheting that vest that's on the label. I dug it out and looked at it last night. I have the yarn. I have the right sized hook. I remember (sort of) how to crochet.
That vest is so nice. It has many pockets. (I love pockets, never got over my childhood fondness for them). I like the leather buttons on it. (I'd have to buy a set if I made the vest). I like the thought of working with an "oily" wool again, my hands are all beat up right now because it's been dry and also because of chalk dust (chalk for some reason is heck on my hands). Also, the picture of the vest, the avuncular man with a white beard, sitting in the glow of lamplight and tying flies, makes me happy - makes me think of fall, and indoor pursuits, and how it's pleasant to sit and work on something in the puddle of lamplight your reading lamp casts as night comes on and the sky fades to gold, then purple, then black...
the pattern, if you're interested, is here (we'll see if that jump-link works; Lion Brand makes their site all framey and it's hard to link directly to anything). (Update: yes, it does, but it's hard to get "back" out of it. )
