I finished the front of the Circus pullover last night, and cast on for the sleeves. It's going to be close whether I have enough yarn or not.
I also got the heel turned, and part of the foot done, on the first of the pair of swap-socks.
otherwise, it was a busy weekend, including me finally beginning to wrestle with the "scores" from my teaching evaluations - I have absolutely no idea how to analyze these, but it looks like other people have somehow come up with, at least, means, so I guess I have to.
I will be so glad when the tenure packet is done. It's not even that I'm worrying about getting tenure any more so much as it is like a tiny dagger to the heard every time I look at an evaluation and see that someone answered "strongly disagree" to one of the questions.
I wonder if the tenure process isn't so much to weed people who aren't achieving out as it is to weed out the people who can't stand being stared in the face by their past less-than-successes? I'm one of those people who tends only to see the places where I didn't get the best rating or get the paper accepted to the journal on the first try. That's partly why this is so hard for me - I see myself as a failure because I haven't done the ecological equivalent of developing the polio vaccine, when, objectively viewed, I am really not a failure.
and I have to work on it more this afternoon. Sigh.
