One of the reasons I am thankful I am not in the corporate workforce are all of the silly pseudo-perks that are used as motivational tools. You know, the posters with a picture of an eagle and the word "Accomplishments" on it. I always figured they were cheapo things used by corporations to supposedly give folks "benefits" without actually increasing their pay or instituting flex time or other actual morale-raising measures.

well, it seems others are as put-off by the posters as I am: Despair.com has a whole site of them.

where I used to live, there was a mall store filled with motivational schlock that was called "Successories". I think these would have to be called "Depressories".
