Got a fair amount done on the endless, garter stitch, Real Simple scarf yesterday while reading textbook chapters.

I wonder - does garter st. require more yardage than an equivalent amount of stockinette stitch? it seems like it should, seeing as it's denser.

I'm itching to start on something new, specifically some thick warm socks (It's been cold and rainy and miserable here - today is actually the first really sunny day since mid-October). I have some Novitia Storebror ("big brother") bulky yarn - it's going to be socks soon.

in three weeks I will be in Illinois for Thanksgiving!
