The changes on the paper are done. The revised copy has been e-mailed to my co-author for her to look at. I cannot tell you how relieved I am that is done.

The paper isn't due in until 15 December, but I always worry about having something like that hanging over my head.

And...I finished the knitting on the Landlord cardigan! I just have to weave in ends, block, sew up, and do the double-crochet edging (done in a different color; I'm looking at my stash for ideas. My original idea was to use a cream color to match the background shade but now I'm thinking if I have something that matches one of the other colors it might give it a bit more pizazz. Don't think I've got any fuchsia yarn though.)

and, I had almost 2 50 g balls of the stuff left. So, being a reckless sort, I cast on for a little roll brimmed cap. This is reckless for two reasons:

the grand plan cap pattern says a minimum of 200 yds is needed for an adult cap - I have just over 100

and

I've not sewn the sweater up yet so I don't know for absolute certain that I don't need more yarn - like if one side is a bit short. I don't think so. And if it is, I can always frog the hat.

I do think I am going to have enough - the cap is almost half done (I love bulky yarn) and I've not breeched (or is that broached?) the second skein yet.

I'm wondering - from having compared other patterns I own to patterns in the "Grand Plan" book ("The Knitters' Handy Book of Patterns") if the author decided to err on the side of having too much yarn.
