I've decided that this weekend is going to be the weekend I finish quilting my Spools quilt. I did about 1 1/2 hours (almost) last night, and when I get home this afternoon, I'm going to do more on it.

My goal is to finish the quilting, and get the binding at least cut this weekend.

I'm in at work. I need to do some research stuff. I'm planning a research project (it'll be for next fall now, I missed the seeds or seed set was poor this year) on germination and seedling survival of Asclepias (milkweed) species common around here. I know of at least two - A. viridis, the green milkweed, and A. tuberosa, butterfly milkweed.

I read in a horticultural journal that butterfly milkweed is hard to propagate - so I'm going to look at propagation/reproduction of at least these two species. It'll be an involved project, but I can already see where I need to go with it, which is unusual with me and research.
