Dealing with a couple of minor disappointments.
First, got a letter from the yarn company I ordered the Sand from. Even though the person who took my order told me the yarn was in-stock, it's actually backordered. So now I have to wait. And they didn't give me any hint of when it might come.
This is not the first time this particular fiber-purveyor has done this. I'm starting to get fed up with them. But I'm also waiting on a backorder - apparently forgotten - by another fiber-purveyor. So I don't know what to do. I live miles and miles and miles from the nearest real yarn shop, and if the online or catalog sellers are constantly backordered - well.
I guess that's what a stash is for anyway.
The second disappointment: my plans for Friday fell through. A couple of the students and I got permission to go visit Clymer Meadow in North Texas. But one of them can't go, and the other is worried about finishing her field research. So I am helping her do her research here in town, instead.
Next week I'll be stuck close to home because (if the weather permits) the roofer is coming to re-do my roof.
I'm having a hard time staying motivated to work on my research papers. I am getting so burnt out.
