Wow! I had forgotten that this year was the big 1-0-0 for the Teddy Bear. Bonne at Chicknits blog reminded me of that today. She has a mohair bear she made up on the site and he is too cute!

I used to make lots and lots of bears and "critters" and also historical-costume dolls. I haven't done any lately because that's the kind of project that's hard to pick up and put down. I want to make another bear sometime soon. Maybe over spring break.

Speaking of which - next week I won't be here! Tomorrow afternoon I head to Longview, Texas (home of Stitches n Stuff (the site is still being built so it's not quite ready yet) and also Barron's Books and More. I plan to get down there early for my train and spend some quality shopping time in Longview.

Then, next week I am in Illinois! I'm excited - I don't get to see my family enough. And I get some quality knitting time.
