I'm back.
Here's what I did over spring break:
Finished (yeeeeahhh!) the Latvian socks. These are knit of Lorna's Laces, in the color called "Clay" (a good source that allows you to see the colors is The Knitter.
Finished a pair of Mini-Ringel socks. I think the color is called Fantasie - it's a dark background (I think it's black; other
people think it's navy blue) with very bright electric colored stripes.
Started the "Vienna" socks. Started a pair of socks out of lavender DK weight yarn in a cable pattern (you can see a picture here - it's a Dawn Brocco design
Still working on the Spanish shawl.
Finished reading "The Wide Sargasso Sea". I'm not sure I liked it - the main feeling I got from the book was a heavy oppressiveness - but I suppose that was probably the author's intention. (The book is a "prequel" of sorts to Jane Eyre - giving the background on Mr. Rochester's first wife. I don't like Mr. Rochester nearly so much now.)
Now I must make up a couple exam review sheets, a homework, and start planning a couple of proposals for funding...
