Today is the "You just might learn something" department. Links to sites I've gotten information from for teaching.

Ya wanna know about earthworms?
How about different taxa of fossils (and some living species)?
Or different types of soil?

On the knitting front, I now have six little green garter st squares I have to sew together into frog shaped booties.
I don't relish the sewing part (I'll have to use the yarn I knit with or at least one ply of it), but I'm glad these are nearly done.

I am fighting "startitis". Many knitters know what this is. It's the overwhelming urge to start something new, which usually strikes when you have too many projects going already. I looked at the "Spanish Shawl" kit I got for Christmas from Ram Wools . It's in a mohair color called "Paris" (a color card showing it is here and is a bright pastel rainbow - just the thing for cold grey rainy days. And then there's the big Prairie Stripes afghan from Lion Brand. And then there's tons of sockyarn. And then there's scarves. And sweaters. And shawls I'm planning.

I really need to finish one of these first: the Bloomfield throw, the Latvian socks, the zig zag socks, or the Woolspun winter hat.
Right now, I think the hat is the best candidate - it's small and fast and not complex (both of the socks are: one is lace and the other is colorwork).

Argh.
