Oh, good word. I have to learn to avoid televised news and information programs sometimes. I watched Nova on bioterrorism last night.
Good God. How can people work on biological weapons? How can they look at themselves in the mirror knowing they are creating something that can kill thousands or millions of civilians? (I mean US military types, not terrorists - I don't even want to consider what a terrorist might be thinking)
I would have been better off watching the Olympics. Sometimes I think more than is good for me, you know?
In other news, my computer ate one of my diskettes yesterday, or maybe I static-shocked it when I was transporting it. At any rate, the two journal articles I was rewriting have now evaporated. The only bits of good news are these: I have hard copies of one, and pretty much of a hard copy (my handwritten notes) for the other. The campus computer-guru suggested I bring the diskette in and he would try to salvage something. I'm trying to be hopeful about this.
I had so wanted to get both those articles done last night.
Bloomfield throw is progressing. I now have 29 rows of intarsia to go. Did a few rows on the mini-Ringel sock this morning.
