The candy-corn colored dishcloth is finished
It's just plain old Sugar and Cream (a very common and widely-available cotton yarn that is usually what people use for these) and the "Grandmother's Favorite" pattern. But like I said: it's a good, functional pattern, the garter stitch ridges scrub pots and pans well, it works up fast enough that you don't feel bad when you wear one out.
I have another skein in different fall colors for another one. If I feel like I I might make a bi-colored one using the scraps from the leftovers....
(Heh. After yesterday? Maybe I keep a skein of this stuff or two and a set of 4.5 mm needles in my office in case there's ever another lockdown and I'm stuck - I think it would have been easier to endure if I had some knitting)
I also decided to start the hat. It's bulky weight, so it should go comparatively quickly.
It looks like the yarn will stripe rather than pool, which is good. It's ribbed along the brim, and then has twisted stitches that outline triangle shapes as you do the crown decreases.
I'm glad the week is over. This one felt long. It's still too hot here and I find by the end of the day I feel a little overheated and uncomfortable - I will be glad when we actually do get fall.
