Oh HAIL no

Big storms just moved through here. It was a very scary five minutes because the hail we got sounded ENORMOUS and I kept expecting to see a hailstone come down through the ceiling after having punched through the roof. (I moved to my bedroom, which is the room farthest from any big old trees that could lose limbs)

It wasn't bigger than nickel sized, but it sure sounded bigger:

oh hail no

That's my front porch right now.

I will have to try to look at the roof tomorrow to make sure it sustained no big damage. Eventually  it will be time to replace it, it's closing in on 12 years old now.

Roof before this one lasted 13 years. Then again, they just threw some asphalt shingles up over the existing wood shingles, which meant I had to have both removed for the new roof.
