"Keep looking up"

Star Hopper arrived today in the mail:

Star Hopper

She's actually more turquoisey than she looks in the photo. And her hair is such a pretty shade of yellow and it's very soft for "old" doll-hair. (The tinsel is a little unruly, but the seller warned of that, so I knew). She has glitter embedded in her translucent plastic.

I'm "headcanoning" that Star Hopper is actually an alien pony from another planet (hence the glitter and tinselly hair) but that her home planet is almost identical to the regular ponies' home planet so she feels comfortable with them. And that she's really knowledgeable about astronomy thanks to her travels. (And star ponies can travel magically without a spaceship.....yeah, may be getting into seven-year-old-me's imagination territory here)

It's ridiculous how happy these kinds of things make me but now I'm really glad I ordered her. I still need to get a little shelf up in my bedroom for this pony plus Posey and Bubbles. (And I have to hang up my miniponyhouse - I think that is going up in my room as well, I think I figured out a place for it over my dresser. And then I can fill it with some of the blind bag ponies that didn't quite make the cut for my mantel Ponyville.

(the post title relates to what I thought when I first looked at her: she really does look like she's looking up at the stars)
