I want to do this. This is my way of reclaiming a tiny bit of the sweet and silly fun of childhood Valentine's Days, when it was more about making your friends happy with funny cards and less about who you like-liked and if that person sent you a card (or later, flowers. In high school one of the groups did carnations for a fundraiser. I don't think I ever got a carnation. They also did candy bags one year.....I did get a couple candy bags from friends with funny notes on the card and I liked that, but I kind of hated all the angst and envy tied up with "why didn't I get a flower" and "look at that girl over there, she has eight flowers and they are each from a different guy")
I may not be able to take Valentine's Day afternoon off from school and have a party where I drink red Hi-C and eat cupcakes, but at least I can do the funny cartoon valentines.
(*Yes, you might ask: Why not My Little Pony? I did those for a couple years in the past and I think it's the same version being sold again this year. I also might have a few Ponytines left hanging around. If you would prefer one of those, let me know)
