As I've said before, I don't do much for New Year's Eve; I'm not big on the type of party-tradition here in the US.
In Austria, often they have waltz concerts or play waltzes. The national broadcaster apparently plays "The Blue Danube" right at midnight.

I used to be a big advocate of NYE partying. Still am, truth be told. It's a classic "spirit is willing but the mind remembers it has to get up early the next day and battle the hordes, so here's some lovely grape juice at 9PM and see ya next year" situtation.
