First, I laughed at the "more Portlandy" (I watch Portlandia; I laugh even as I cringe, and I think anyone who's lived in a large self-styled "Progressive" university town in the past 25 years can relate to a lot in that show).
Then I realized: Wait. These are stuffed toy animals. Which I have been making since I was 7 or so.
I WAS DOING 'VEGAN TAXIDERMY' BEFORE IT WAS COOL.
(I never did get around to making that stuffed-toy Hipster Kitty I was talking about a long time ago. Good. If I had, the universe might have imploded on itself a little)
