A link to this showed up in my Twitter feed. I admit it, I'm not a musical purist, and stuff like this both amazes and amuses me. It's Fur Elise played in ragtime style (give it 30 seconds or so - he starts it out "straight.")
I don't know what Beethoven would have thought of it but it amuses me.
I confess, I've played around a little bit with trying to play some of the simple little Bach pieces in a syncopated or otherwise different-than-intended style, but I'm nowhere near as good or creative as this guy. Maybe someday.
(I also fought my way through Fur Elise a year or so ago. I could probably revive the piece if I wanted to, but it would take work)
