"Ha," I say

So, a little birdie* dropped a hint that Safety is going to "inspect" the prep rooms soon.

(*Actually, a couple of the IT dudes. My prep room is also a place where a server rack is housed, they had come by to make sure they had left no tools or boxes in there).

So, while my last few students were waiting on the longest part of the lab to happen (Plan ahead, I tell them, start the long stuff first), I cleaned the room up. (It wasn't that bad. I think I'm the only one using it this semester). Yes, there is stuff stored on top of cabinets but as students don't use that room it's probably okay. (They seem not to care if stuff falls on our heads; it's just if it might fall on a student's head that it's a problem).

The sink in the adjacent lab leaks like a monster. I think I've reported it three times. The thing is, it creates a slip and fall hazard. You'd think something would be done about that, especially since students use the room. I don't know. What is and is not a priority is kind of strange some times.
