My new mantra

Or at least, I'm going to try to have it be.

Someone I follow on twitter posted (or maybe re-posted) about this. Allegedly there is a Polish proverb that literally translates to English as "Not my circus, not my monkeys," which is a more colorful way of saying "Failure to plan on your part does not constitute a crisis on my part" (or, perhaps even more: "It's not my problem.")

(Okay, probably not allegedly - someone who actually speaks Polish has posted on Twitter that it is "nie mój cyrk, nie moje małpy." No idea how to pronounce it but I'd be saying it in English anyway.)

My favorite is "Carry only your own suitcase" which I sometimes use to advise beloveds in this way: "don't pick up ____x's____ suitcase"

hugs to you.
