One of the semi-local radio stations is promoting a production of the opera of "Romeo and Juliet" for Valentine's Day.
I guess I'm too much of a Pollyanna, or something. I don't tend to think of things like that as a 'good romantic story.' I prefer 'romantic' stories that end with "and they all lived happily ever after," not "they all died miserably for star-crossed love."
I mean, one is probably as unrealistic as the other, so why not go with the unrealism that makes you happy?
Similarly, I'd rather watch Gilbert and Sullivan's works than watch grand opera.
