I had a little April Fool's prank planned, but (a) could not make the time to get the needed supplies, (b) didn't feel like taking the time last night to set it up (my allergies have been very bad and I've been extremely tired this week) and (c) it might have been kind of stupid anyway. Sometimes I find things funny that no one else gets, or that people think are idiotic.
I just hope no one tries to pull anything on me today. If I'm concentrating on something else - like grading or soil-sorting - I forget what day it is and I'll be caught. And I hate that. And I also hate it when people (read: a certain colleague) decides to pointlessly bug me when I'm trying to work. And this is the person most likely to try some kind of convoluted shaggy-dog story for April Fool's.
I tend to prefer the sillier things, where really no one, or maybe everyone, is the target. (Like these). A lot of the pranks of "let's 'get' this person" seem kind of mean. Or maybe that's just because I value my dignity to a certain extent, and I don't like having it toppled over by someone for a laugh. (Or maybe it's that I was too often the butt of jokes in grade school, and being pranked makes me feel like I'm 13 again, and that's NOT a good feeling, trust me.)

Japanese spam that probably connects to a pr0n site is not a cute thing to do to a blogger.
