Some Old Knitted Stuff for today. ("Old" in the sense of I've had it a few years, but I think I finished it before I had a camera, so never posted a photo of it).
It's been cool and rainy (It's not as chilly today as it was yesterday, but still), and I've been pulling out the few "transitional" things I have to wear.
And I thought of this sweater this morning:
It's the lone sweater I made from the (now defunct) Family Circle Easy Knitting magazine (which knitters gave the unfortunate acronym of FCEK to). It's knit of Classic Elite's "Sand," which I guess is no longer being made. It's sort of a teal color; Patternworks referred to it as "beach glass," which made me want that particular color all the more.
I think I finished this late 2003 or early 2004. I do remember buying extra yarn from Patternworks out of fear I wouldn't have enough, and they had to send a different dye lot and it was REALLY different - more gray than green. Luckily, I did not need it and was able to send it back for a refund.
That first photo was taken using the camera's flash (and I think the color in it is pretty true, at least on my monitor). It's funny how different I can look in two pictures taken only a few minutes apart:
My posture was different here; I wasn't standing with the "shoulders back, gut sucked in" posture I usually keep. And I had the camera set on "extreme night setting," no flash - you can see how yellow the CFLs I have in the fixtures make everything.

I like the color. I also like that poster on your wall.
(I was going to comment on this yesterday but it was one of those days when everything on the Internet seems slow and I was impatient.)
